It all began with “Chance”

There’s no better option…Adoption…it changes their life…it changes your life…

URGENT MEDICAL

We took in Ellie May just over a year ago. She came in skinny as a rail, full of worms and heartworm positive.

Well, Ellie May is giving the side eye as you can see because she did not like being poked with a needle nor the news she heard!

  • Well we took care of her spay as soon as she was healthy enough after coming in

  • We took care of those nasty heartworms as she just tested negative in April

  • We got her all healthy and updated with no visit from this nasty tumor in April

Recently, a very large mass was noticed at the base of her rear nipple.

The doctor thinks it could be cancer because it's angry, with very large cells. It needs to be removed quickly and sent out for biopsy so we know what it is and if it has any chance of revisiting.

The photo of the cells you see below is what was pulled from a needle to put on the slide. The mass is about the size of a half dollar and a bit bigger than the girth of a golf ball.

She will go in as soon as the funds are raised.

One of the best ways you can make a difference…Adopt

Your choice to adopt saves lives and provides second chances.

By adopting, you are saving at least two lives-the dog you adopt and the dog who is rescued-because you made it possible for the space to be available.

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” -Desmond Tutu
